Meet Duncan

I'm not who you'd expect to be doing this work.

I grew up in a sport-and-barbecue kind of household, about as traditional as it gets. Then came twenty years in corporate environments, screens, meetings, the always-on culture most of us just accept as normal. From the outside, things looked fine. Internally, something was quietly unravelling, and I couldn't shake the feeling I was meant to be doing something else, even though I had no idea what that was yet.

The real turning point came from something I never saw coming, toxic mould in a home I was renting. For three years I had no answer, just a growing list of unexplained symptoms and endless trips to the doctor. When I finally found the source, I walked away from almost everything I owned and started again with one bag of clothes.

That forced me to pay attention to things I'd never questioned before, my environment, my health, and how switched-on I'd been for so long that I'd stopped noticing it. I tried the obvious fixes, exercise, better food, cutting back on alcohol. They helped a little. None of them touched the constant background hum of stress that had become my normal.

I didn't want to just medicate it away. I wanted to actually find my way back. That search eventually led me to breathwork, and later to dedicated facilitator training.

What changed wasn't dramatic overnight. I started sleeping properly again. My mind got quieter. I felt more present and a lot less reactive. Clarity came back slowly, but it came back.

Somewhere in the middle of all this, I also spent several years as a stay-at-home dad. It sounds simple from the outside, but it wasn't. After twenty years of having a title and a place in the world, suddenly having neither does something to you, and it changed how I see success, stress, and what actually matters.

Today I'm a husband and father of two, based in Hallett Cove, Adelaide, doing work I genuinely believe in.

Why This Matters To Me

I see it every time I tell someone what I do. The polite smile. The slight pause. The eyes that say "interesting" but mean "I'm not sure about this."

And then there are the ones who lean in and ask one more question, even if they'd never admit they're actually considering it.

I get it. I was that person too.

I don't have a lifelong spiritual background. I have a lived one. I'm not here as an authority with all the answers, I'm here as someone who's been through it, walking alongside you while you find your own way back.

You don't need a health crisis or a burnout to try this. You don't have to hit a wall first. You can just be curious.
