Breathwork

Conscious Connected Breathing or a gentler regulatory approach

Some things don’t shift by thinking about them. Breathwork gives you space to reconnect with yourself and explore whatever your body may be holding onto. Sessions may use Conscious Connected Breathing or gentler regulatory techniques, depending on what you’re looking for and what feels right for you.

What Is Breathwork?

Breathwork isn't about forcing an experience or trying to "fix" yourself. It's about creating the space to slow down, reconnect with your body, and notice what's been there all along.

Every session starts with a conversation, not a technique. We talk about where you're at, what's been going on for you, and what you need from the session. From there, we choose the approach that actually fits you that day.

For many people, that means Conscious Connected Breathing, a continuous breathing pattern with no pause between the inhale and exhale. Breathing this differently from your everyday pattern often allows the body to soften and the mind to quieten, opening space for whatever needs to release. As the body and mind settle, many people notice physical tension softening, emotions that have been held beneath the surface coming into awareness, and a greater sense of calm, clarity and connection.

For others, particularly if you're new to breathwork, feeling highly stressed, or simply looking for something calming rather than cathartic, a gentler regulatory breathing approach is often the better starting point. It's just as valid a session, focused on settling your nervous system rather than moving through deeper material.

Every session is different because every person is different. Some people experience deep relaxation, others gain new insights, and some simply leave feeling lighter and more present. There's no right or wrong experience, only the opportunity to meet yourself with curiosity, no performing required.

You don't need any previous experience, and you don't need to know exactly what's wrong before you begin. You simply need a willingness to breathe and see where the process takes you.

Breathwork doesn't give you the answers. It creates the space for you to find your own.

What Happens In A Session

Sessions are one-on-one, either in person in Adelaide or online via Zoom.

We begin with a conversation about what's been happening in your life, how you've been feeling, and what you'd like to get from the session. This helps us decide together whether Conscious Connected Breathing or a gentler regulatory approach is the right fit for today.

Whatever technique we use, I'll guide you throughout the session.

With Conscious Connected Breathing, the breath gradually deepens, builds to its natural peak, and then settles into a period of quiet integration, guided by music that supports the journey throughout.

With a regulatory approach, the breath stays steady and calming throughout, helping your system settle without needing to build to anything.

Either way, you'll have space afterwards to notice what's shifted.

While every session is unique, many people experience meaningful physical and emotional changes during the breathing itself, not just afterwards.

What People Are Saying

“I’ve had two breathwork sessions with Duncan, and the experience was profound. He holds a safe, powerful space that allowed me to drop into a deep, tangible state of release. I walked away feeling clear, light, and physically reset. If you’re looking to move stuck energy and reconnect with your nervous system, I highly recommend his sessions.”
